Macbook Pro M1 Hdmi Problem. This is a puzzling limitation and one that’s bound to be a major problem for power users. Looks like new macbook pro (m1 pro)hdmi sound output may have issue.
I really wish dell would partner with apple on debugging this issue, but they basically told me they don't even have the resources to test their. I own a wonderful samsung chg90 32:9 monitor. Completely disable external display sleeping on mac open system preferences from the apple menu choose “battery” (m1 macbook pro, m1 macbook air), or “energy saver” (m1 mac mini, imac) m1 mac laptops choose “power adapter”, and then drag the slider for “turn display off after…” to “never”

I'm running into a similar problem with my brand new m1 pro macbook pro. On paper, the m1 macbook pro and macbook air can support the 6k pro display xdr but that’s about it. This is a puzzling limitation and one that’s bound to be a major problem for power users.

My trusty 2015 macbook pro works with no problems. Look how many of these mac display problems are on the board right now, the sandbox keeps getting smaller for apple users. The new macbook pro 14 we orderd last week in apple's online store has finally arrived (no press sample from apple).
